Florida Water is a fragrant spiritual cologne with an uplifting blend of citrus, floral, herbal, and spicy notes. Originally introduced in the early 1800s, it later became a treasured spiritual tool within Black American, Caribbean, Latin American, and other folk-spiritual traditions.

It is commonly used with prayer and intention to cleanse personal energy, refresh sacred spaces, remove lingering heaviness, and invite spiritual protection, peace, and blessings.

• Cleanse your hands and personal aura before spiritual work
• Refresh your energy after crowded spaces or emotionally heavy encounters
• Cleanse and prepare an altar, reading table, or meditation space
• Refresh ritual tools and water-safe spiritual items
• Add to a floor wash or room spray for home cleansing
• Cleanse entrances and doorways with intentions of protection

Ways to Use:

For Your Hands:

Place a few drops into your palms and gently rub them together while speaking a prayer or intention. Allow your hands to dry completely before handling candles, incense, sage, or Palo Santo.

For Your Aura:

Place a few drops in your hands, rub them together, and lightly pat your shoulders or the back of your neck if your skin tolerates fragrance. You may also sweep your hands just above your body while imagining heavy energy being cleared away. Avoid your face, eyes, and broken or irritated skin.

For Your Altar:

Add a small amount of Florida Water to a damp cloth and carefully wipe your altar or other water-safe ritual surfaces. Do not apply it directly to delicate crystals, porous materials, painted surfaces, or spiritual tools that may be damaged by water or alcohol.

For Your Home:

Add a small amount to a water-filled spray bottle and lightly mist your space, or add a few drops to fresh mop water. Open a window or door and move through your home with prayer and intention. Always spot-test fabrics and surfaces first.

For a Spiritual Bath:

If permitted by the bottle’s directions and your skin tolerates fragrance, add only a few drops to a full bath. Patch-test first and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Safety:

Florida Water contains alcohol and is highly flammable. Never spray, pour, or apply it near candles, burning sage, Palo Santo, incense, heat, sparks, or an open flame. Allow your hands, body, altar, and surrounding surfaces to dry completely before lighting any ritual tools.

For external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken or irritated skin. Patch-test before applying to skin. Do not mix with bleach or other household chemicals. Keep away from children and pets, and always follow the directions and warnings printed on the bottle.
