White Sage is an aromatic sacred plant with deep cultural and ceremonial significance for Indigenous communities of Southern California and northern Baja. We encourage using this plant with respect, gratitude, and awareness of its origins.

In personal spiritual practice, White Sage is commonly used to symbolically clear stagnant or heavy energy, prepare the mind and surroundings for prayer or meditation, and create space for peace, clarity, and renewal.

• Prepare an altar, crystals, or ritual tools
• Release lingering energy after guests, conflict, or emotional experiences
• Set intentions for clarity, protection, peace, and new beginnings

How to Use:

Before lighting your sage, open at least one window or exterior door. This provides ventilation and symbolically creates a pathway for smoke and released energy to leave.

Place a layer of sand inside an Abalone Shell or another fire-safe vessel. Light the tip of the sage, allow it to burn briefly, and then gently blow out the flame so it begins to smolder.

For your home, begin in the room or area farthest from the open window or door. Gently guide the smoke into corners and around doorways as you move toward the opening. A small amount of smoke is enough—the power of the ritual rests in your intention.

For personal aura cleansing, carefully waft a small amount of smoke around your body, beginning near your feet and moving upward. Keep the burning bundle and smoke away from your face, hair, skin, and clothing.

For an altar or spiritual tools, gently pass the smoke around each item while speaking your prayer or intention. Extinguish the sage completely in sand when finished.

“I release all that feels heavy or no longer belongs here. May this space be filled with peace, clarity, protection, and renewed energy.”

Safety:

Use only in a well-ventilated space. Never leave burning sage unattended. Keep away from children, pets, hair, clothing, and flammable materials. Avoid smoke rituals around anyone with asthma or respiratory sensitivities, and never burn around birds. For ritual use only; not intended for consumption.

Because this is a natural product, each bundle will vary slightly in size, shape, and appearance.
